Sofia has capped a remarkable fortnight with a podium finish at her first junior elite international competition, claiming a bronze medal on platform at the Rijeka Junior Elite Diving Championships.
She followed that up with two more strong results across the springboards, placing 6th on the 1m and 10th on the 3m — three top-10 finishes at her first outing on the international stage, and against a Group B field in which she was one of the youngest competitors.
The achievement is all the more impressive given the timing. Sofia flew out to Croatia just one day after finishing at National Finals, where she was crowned National Champion across all boards. To follow a clean sweep at home with an international medal, on barely a day's rest and with no time to reset, says everything about her composure and preparation.
